Facebook Hits 2.38 Billion Users and 500 Million Stories

Facebook Hits 2.38 Billion Users and 500 Million Stories.

  • The social network website Facebook hits 2.38 billion users

  • Facebook also hits 1.56 Billion daily active users

  • There are 500 million users are using Facebook stories daily.

"Daily active users (DAUs) - DAUs were 1.56 billion on average for March 2019, an increase of 8 per cent year-over-year," the statement added.

"In addition, we estimate that more than 2.1 billion people now use Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or Messenger (our "Family" of services) every day on average, and around 2.7 billion people use at least one of our Family of services each month," Facebook added.

Back in September, the Facebook stories was a 300 million daily user active.

Mark Zuckerberg also focus on privacy, he said,

This privacy-focused platform will be built around several principles:

Private interactions. You should have simple, intimate spaces where you have complete confidence that what you say and do is private.

Encryption. Your private communications should be secure, and end-to-end encryption prevents anyone -- including even us -- from seeing what you share.

Reducing permanence. You shouldn't have to worry about what you share coming back to hurt you later, so we won't keep around messages or stories for longer than necessary.

Safety. You should expect we'll do everything we can to keep you safe on our services, within the bounds of an encrypted service. So we're taking the time to get this right upfront before we ship this platform.

Interoperability. You should be able to use any of our apps to reach your friends, and you should be able to communicate across our networks easily and securely.

And finally, secure data storage. You should expect that we won’t store sensitive data in countries where it might be improperly accessed because of weak rule of law or governments that can forcibly get access to your data.

Over the next few years, we're going to rebuild more of our services around these ideas. There are a lot of open questions and real tradeoffs on important social issues, so we're committed to working openly on this and consulting with experts and governments as we go, he said.

Apple iOS 13 - Long Awaited Dark Mode Coming

[ad_1]

Apple iOS 13 is Coming - Expecting with Animoji Characters

This year Worldwide Developers conference (WWDC) schedule on 3rd June 2019.

Apple has fixed a lot of bugs in iOS 11 and iOS 12, the next will come iOS 13 and expecting with Animoji characters.

What is Animoji?

iOS includes an animated emoji feature known as Animoji. This responds to facial expressions via the iPhone X camera, to animate various 3D animated emojis that can be sent as a video file with sound.

According to 9to5mac, we could see a system-wide dark mode, app tabs and a new undo gesture, alongside a major overhaul of the interface for iPads.

Then there’s the slew of Animoji sprites we’re expecting to see in iOS 13. Apple already gave us a preview of 230 new characters being added to the library, but a new leak suggests four more could be incoming.

With iOS 13, there are many changes coming to iPad, including the ability for apps to have multiple windows. Each window will also be able to contain sheets that are initially attached to a portion of the screen, but can be detached with a drag gesture, becoming a card that can be moved around freely, similar to what an open-source project called “PanelKit” could do.

PanelKit is a UI framework that enables panels on iOS.

These cards can also be stacked on top of each other, and use a depth effect to indicate which cards are on top and which are on the bottom. Cards can be flung away to dismiss them.

With iOS 13, Apple is introducing a new standard undo gesture for text input on the iPad. The gesture starts as a three-finger tap on the keyboard area, sliding left and right allows the user to undo and redo actions interactively.

Other features to come with iOS 13 include a redesigned Reminders app.
